More than 9,000 people from Tarragona receive aid of 200 euros

The aid of 200 euros approved by the Government to mitigate the impact of high inflation has already benefited 68,802 people throughout Catalonia. Specifically, the Tax Agency has already paid 13,760,400 euros for this concept in this autonomous community.
By provinces, the aid of 200 euros is distributed as follows in Catalonia:
The recipients of this initiative approved by the Executive at the end of June are workers, the self-employed and the unemployed who reside in households with an income of less than 14,000 euros in 2021 and whose assets, discounting the habitual residence, do not exceed 43,196.4 euros. The computation of income and assets is carried out jointly, considering all the people who reside with the beneficiary in the same address as of January 1, 2022.
Pensioners and recipients of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) are excluded from this aid because they are groups that have already benefited from other measures approved by the Government, such as the 15% increase in non-contributory pensions and the IMV. Likewise, pensioners have their purchasing power guaranteed with the revaluation of pensions according to the CPI.
Therefore, the objective of this aid of a single payment of 200 euros, included in Royal Decree-Law 11/2022, of June 25, is to alleviate the effects of rising prices on low incomes who did not benefit from the previous regulations.
The deadline to request this aid ended on September 30 and the decree establishes a margin until the end of the year, after which the applicant may consider the application denied if payment has not been received by that date.
35,000 million mobilized
The aid of 200 euros is part of the package of measures approved by the Government to mitigate the impact of inflation on the social majority of the country, which has already made it possible to mobilize 35,000 million euros. Among these initiatives is a tax reduction of 10,000 million euros by reducing VAT on gas or electricity. Also measures aimed at the middle and working class such as the bonus of 20 cents per liter of fuel or free transport in Cercanías, Rodalies and Media Distancia. Likewise, the Government also adopted direct aid to the most affected sectors such as transporters, farmers and the gas-intensive industry.
Thanks to the effectiveness of these measures, inflation in Spain has been easing for three consecutive months and is now the second lowest in the euro zone. In this sense, the Government maintains the commitment to continue adopting the necessary measures to alleviate the impact of the increase in prices derived from the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the social majority of the country.
