Bad news for smokers: the Official State Gazette (BOE) warned of the new changes in the price of tobacco. Among the brands affected by the tariff change are some well-known ones, such as Marlboro and Chesterfield.

The price update came into force this Saturday, when the BOE made public the Resolution of November 25 of the Presidency of the Commissioner for the Tobacco Market. The new rates have been proposed in accordance with the provisions of article 4 of Law 13/1998, on the Regulation of the Tobacco Market and Tax Regulations.

The new retail prices (PVP) began to be applied this weekend in all tobacconists on the Peninsula, Balearic Islands Yo Ceuta Yo Melilla. The modifications only affect some tobacconists in Tobacco and Stamp Retailers in the Monopoly area.

Among them are brands such as Marlboro, Chesterfield, L&M and Philip Morris. The price changes have affected cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, in different sales formats.

Below you will find the updated price list that has already been implemented in all the tobacconists of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. These are the products and brands affected by the change:
