The Reus Chamber of Commerce recognizes the innovation of 29 companies and institutions

The Reus Chamber of Commerce distinguishes this year, through the Chamber Awards, the innovation and digital transformation of 29 companies, institutions and businessmen from the area of influence of the entity: Baix Camp, Priorat, Conca de Barberà, Ribera d 'Ebre and Terra Alta. Thus, the event has, this time, a monographic character, focused on the technological commitment of different business realities. "From trade, tourism, agri-food... Without forgetting the world of education", described the coordinator of the awards, Berta Cabré, yesterday afternoon, during the presentation of the list of winners.

The award ceremony for the 29 awards will be held this Wednesday, November 30, at 7:00 p.m., at the Teatre Fortuny in the presence of 420 people. Four awards correspond to the Honor Awards; four more, to the Journalism Awards and the remaining 21, to the Cambra Reus 2022 awards.

Regarding the recognitions of honor, the jury wanted to highlight the trajectory of institutions and businessmen. This is the case of Andreu Rodríguez from Reus, recognized for being one of the pioneers in Reus from the impulse of the company Data Logic, today Ticnova. In this same category, the Chamber recognizes Josep Anton Aliagas, also from Reus, who carries out an important part of his professional activity in Silicon Valley. The honor awards are completed by the Rovira i Virgili University, with special emphasis on the project that it coordinates for the creation of a digital wine label; and the Reading Center. In this last case, the Chamber wants to especially recognize the task of digitizing its documentary collection and the online dissemination system.

territory force

The Cambra Awards are "an opportunity to give value to the territory", underlines the Councilor for Business and Employment of the Reus City Council, Carles Prats. In this sense, and beyond the 29 winners, this Wednesday's event will highlight the talent of the five regions of the corporation's territorial scope, starting with the gala itself. This will be hosted by two journalists from the area: Josep Ardila, from Montblanquin, director of Radio Montblanc and collaborator of TAC12; and Anna Fortuny, from Reus, who is currently carrying out her professional activity on the Television Network. There will also be a performance by the harpist from L'Espluga de Francolí Anna Amigó. Subsequently, and in the Lonja space, there will be an aperitif prepared by the Reus Bakers Guild and the Baix Camp and which will have a common thread: Mestral flour, and all paired with local wine and cava. The 'Rehabilitem l'Estel' project will remove the solidarity part. It is an initiative of Hogares Sociales Reus to adapt five sustainable and socially just homes on Calle del Estel. Those interested may make a donation through bank transfer, Bizum or cash payment.
